Corpus Christi
Woke up, put clothes in the washing machine. Went for breakfast - ate wantan mee with Ben and Ian.
Reached SMC - Corpus Christi rehearsal at Sam Tet hall. Choirs started arranging chairs on stage and placing of seats. Strong men lifted the clarinova up the stage. Settled down to practise singing.......then Andrew Kok and some others brought the LCD screen up the stage........and we had to make way for it.......shift, shift.
While singing Fr. Michael came in with a limp.......everyone looked n commented.
Last Corpus Christi held in the stadium also he limped........what a coincident......HOW COME !!!
As usual criticism from him ......." Chinese choir dun sing like tat!!!......(he imitated their singing)
USE yr. diaphragm.......like tis!!!!" POINTING TO HIS BIG BELLY.
Quite a long practice......
Had lunch at home .......takeaway ....chicken rice again......
rested......2pm - Bath time for Miss Snoopy......a lot of her fur dropped.......black furs all over
my thighs, legs and hands. A lot of laughing for ian and me each time we bathe her.
Went to church ( SAM Tet Hall ) at 4.45pm ......started to drizzle. 5.15pm hall still had many empty seats.
Wondering is it many not turning up........5.30pm many started to come in and continue to come.
Some came even after 6pm. Hall was filled with ppl.....all seats taken. Good turn up.
Sound system not too good......muffle especially where we were sitting.
I could not concentrate on the readings, gospel nor Father's homily.
After the gospel , commissioning of new EM's- a number of new elected EMs ......Tony Onn and Dr. Martin also in.
Towards the end, procession was to begin, altar servers first to leave the hall
followed by BEC rep. holding individual banners and then congregation.
Choir sang O sacrament Most Holy....English alternate by chinese.
Father asked warden to opened the side doors of the hall so congregation can leave faster.
Doors were opened ...no one went out......strange.
Father asked why from the altar.......warden told him outside raining.
" Huh......Why didn't u say earlier?" "Please asked the altar servers and bec rep to come back in" ....
Altar servers walked in ......wet......but still looking serious.
So no procession ......continued to sing Down in Adoration & Divine Praises .....finished...silence-.no one moved.
Then Stephanie told choirs to stand and started to sing O sacrament Most Holy.
Sudden stop.......wrong hymn.......shld. be final hymn in Mandarin. Alamak!! 
Altar servers got special blessings.........from the rain. 'SHOWERS, SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS....."
