Lucy invited me out for lunch today together with -
Mei Kuen, Mrs. Chong (G er's mum) and one more lady.
On our way to the Perak shooting club, the lady who
was driving was uncertain which route to use.
so at Mun Chong traffic lights they quickly change
driver. Mrs. Chong said crazy thing to do.
Then she took over the wheels and drove us there.
We had a very nice - herbal steamboat lunch.
Conversation was okay. The ladies were keen to
have this ladies outing every month on a Sunday -
especially Mei Kuen.
After lunch they proceed to shopping.
I didn't join them and went home.

Rested then went to church at 4pm.
Usual choir practice before mass.
Today is Feast of saints Peter and Paul.
Father Michael sermon was very good ....
especially so compared to bishop's sermon
on Saturday evening.

Father Michael highlighted the
character and background of these 2 saints.
He also explained their differences in leading
the people. Both so different - one a large and
ignorant fisherman and the other an educated
scholar. Both ways are so different and contradicting.
Yet Paul never ever left the church to form his own.
he didn't break off. Both had one common thought -
they shared the same determination to live and
die for the Kingdom of God. We should follow
their example....every one is different and
many a time our ideas clash but we must remember
to focus like Peter and Paul and work for the
same reason despite the differences.

Why God chose Peter and Paul who are so different?
He had very good reasons ....he made used of both their
good and bad qualities for a purpose.

Sorry, I am not good at quoting what Father Michael said.
But it was indeed well said.

After mass rushed home. Went to Gaik Hong's place and
went with them to Bercham to meet Amy and Young.
Another heavy meal.......claypot crab rice, lamb,
sotong, fishballs, vegetables, fish, porridge.
So full. Too much food for the day. Amy shared her
experience staying in Nigeria with us.
It's not a very safe place to stay but she seems to enjoy
herself despite that. Most important is know how to appreciate life...
and looks like she does.
