Blessed weekend.......

Friday afternoon.....sis was going to KL in the evening.
Mum started to groan and moan about not being well.

Saturday was surprised to see mum in a much better mood.
Willingly came over to our house.
Managed to get her to read some newspaper cut outs.
Got her to walk a bit more and shared with her....
an article on aging from'Our Daily Bread'
It's about accepting physical decrease...
but to have spiritual increase.
Later spent 2 hours in Ah Yee's house while
Ian went for English tuition.
Mum happily sat there listening to our conversation.

Sunday..... Mass homily was good.
Father Michael, i totally agreed with what he said
that in times like this with world economical problem
we have to change our lifestyle.....
We have high expectations, we want more and more materialistic stuffs.
Many work and work to get extra for comfort,
sacrificing family times,
and no time for God too.
Jesus wants us to give our burdens to Him.
He is willing to carry it for us. He wants to give us rest.
He wants us to deepened our faith and through that we will have peace.
We don't really need all the pleasures and leisures of life...
Fr. Michael explains Jesus speaks these words, "I thank thee, Father
Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the
wise and understanding and revealed them to babes."
Ponder on that.....

After mass guess who was in the canteen.....
mum's favourite priest Fr. Edmund .
he's back on a month holiday.
Mum didn't come to church so Fr. Edmund said he will find time to visit mum.
The first thing he asked me when he saw me, " How's your daughter?"
So many parishioners gathered to speak to him ...and i had class ....so
briefly chat with him.

As i was preparing for lunch .....phone rang....
Sis was annoyed and frustrated with mum's moaning....
and wanted me to go and see mum.
I was annoyed with sis .....told her I was halfway cooking....
Anyway when i was done with the cooking, Ben send me to mum's place.
I spoke to her, massage her, made her walked
Told her about meeting Fr. Edmund in church.....
Sis asked me whether I think mum remembers Fr. Edmund.
So I asked mum instead whether she recalls and she could.
The day before i happened to asked her the same question....
she could not recall at all who Fr. Edmund is
but now she remembers.
Strange how her mind is functioning now.

Then she asked whether I have eaten lunch.....
when she knew I have not eaten
she said I should have eaten first before coming.
Told her since Ben was picking Ian up from church (1pm) he gave me a lift,
and will be coming to fetch me back to eat.
After the attention given.......no more calls.......
i also told Sintair to spent more time with Mum.

Praise the Lord.....Ben and I attended RCIA in the evening.
Thank you Lord. Thank you.

Lena's daughter Jessica was there and also Mrs. Loh.....
the lady who wanted to baptized her daughter so badly in Kinta Hospital.
I remembered how Miss Lee and I were used by God as an instrument to
show this lady ( she's a stranger) - of God's great love..... ....

RCIA Facilitators are: Leonard Lim, Regina, and Kamani.
Number of people so far is 10.....all ladies except Ben.
Please pray for these people attending this RCIA......
that they will open their hearts to God.
