A unexpected visitor........

Juz saw a bird on the window sill of our sitting room......
It was standing, and asleep...zzzzz
Ian and Ben took many photo shots of our special visitor but
it still stood there ....hmm strange not afraid of human nor the
flash of the camera. Ian inspected it .....initially he thought
it had only a foot but later it stood on both, then further inspection
Ian thought its' wings looked torn. Ben said, " I won't hurt you ....
juz need to close the window ....u can stay in between the glass window
and the grill ( where it stood) ...gently and carefully Ben slide the window....
and the bird flew away......Bye!

Remember you are in the presence of the loving God.

Luke 12:32
Do not be afraid any longer, little flock,
for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

A reassuring message Jesus gives to us.
He first acknowledges our human fears and then gently calls us beyond them.
It’s an invitation to deeper trust in the God who wills only our good.
It’s also a reminder of our true nature.
We are created and sustained by a loving God, on whom we depend as sheep on a shepherd. With our generous God as shepherd, we have no more reason to fear.

When I reflect on my radical independence on God, how do I feel inside?

Of what am I afraid? What prevents me from surrendering my fears to God?

Loving God, thank you for creating and sustaining me.
Help me to respond to your gift with ever greater trust.
Amen.
